Our store is filled with the food products of Shiga Prefecture and Lake Biwa, such as Omi rice, tea, local Omi sake from over 30 Shiga breweries, and local sweets.

Central

Nakanishiseido offers natural Omi arare with an authentic taste that you can feel confident in. We can ship these crispy, flavorful arare to anywhere in the country.

North central

Our restaurant is located within the grounds of Mount Hiei’s Enryakuji Temple, the headquarters of the Tendai sect of Japanese Buddhism. Here you can both experience the views of Lake Biwa, as well as enjoy our cuisine which puts an emphasis on the usage of locally sourced ingredients. We also carry a wide variety of popular souvenirs such as Mount Hiei homa tofu, and recently reopened after renovation in the spring of 2019.

Northern

This store is located in front of the Niomon Gate that is part of Miidera Temple, which is the 14th stop on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. Our Benkei Buddhist cuisine, “Hiki Zuri Gane Manju”, and “Evening Bell at Miidera Special” are well renowned.

Central

Saikyo-ji’s Buddhist cuisine employs edible chrysanthemums that are a special local product. Our Kikugozen Set is only available for a limited time from November 1st to November 30th. A Hinagozen Set is also available during our ornamental doll display is exhibited for Girl’s Day. Reservations are required.
