R cafe offers Hawaiian cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients at our top location with a wide sandy beach and Lake Biwa right in front of your eyes. Guests may dine with their pets inside the restaurant or on the terrace. We also have a stage and regularly hold hula shows and live performances.

We sell “Genji Monogatari Toraysee,” which are printed with Murasaki Shikibu’s portraits that are owned by Ishiyamadera Temple, the birthplace of “The Tale of Genji.”

Our store is the largest within the premises of Mt. Hiei, and is located in front of the bus center of the head temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism, Enryakuji Temple. Here we have the souvenirs of Mt. Hiei, as well as an assortment of famous products from Kyoto and Shiga. Our specialties are Mt. Hiei goma tofu (tofu-like dish made with ground sesame paste) and Mt. Hiei goma daifuku (rice cake stuffed with bean jam and topped with sesame seeds).
