UKIMIDO FROM THE LAKE
Visit Ukimido from the water
Approach Ukimido, a beloved scenic spot on Lake Biwa, slowly by SUP. Unlike the view from land, seeing the temple from water level—looking up from the same height as the lake surface—is a unique SUP experience. Enjoy the tranquil morning atmosphere of Lake Biwa as you glide across the calm water.

SUNRISE ON LAKE BIWA
Ukimido illuminated by sunrise
During seasons when the sun rises later, you may encounter the beautiful sight of Ukimido and Lake Biwa illuminated by morning light as you head out on the water by SUP. Enjoy this early-morning moment as the quiet lake surface is gradually enveloped in the light of dawn.

KATATA WALK
After SUP, explore Katata on foot
After your lake stroll, visit Izu Shrine with your guide. In the shrine grounds, you will see features such as a heart-shaped sacred stone as you walk through the town of Katata.
Finally, visit Ukimido from land—the same temple you viewed from the water. Enjoying the scenery of Ukimido and Katata from both water and land perspectives is unique to this tour.
FROM WATER TO LAND
See from the lake, walk on land.
The scenery visible from Lake Biwa and the history and faith you discover only by walking. By not stopping at SUP alone but also exploring the area on foot, you can experience the “lakeside heritage town of Katata” more deeply.
