Leisurely pass your time at this harbor restaurant with a view of Lake Biwa. Enjoy ingredients from Shiga Prefecture (Omi beef, lake fish, and rice) at our store, where you can feel the water front and Hawaii.

North central

R cafe offers Hawaiian cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients at our top location with a wide sandy beach and Lake Biwa right in front of your eyes. Guests may dine with their pets inside the restaurant or on the terrace. We also have a stage and regularly hold hula shows and live performances.

Northern

We utilize carp, crucian carp, sweetfish, and other lake fish per demand for our banquet style dishes in our restaurant located in a nationally registered tangible cultural property. Reservations are required and are limited to two groups a day for the afternoon and evening.

Central

A small-scale local craft beer brewery. We produce beer that makes the most of local ingredients sourced from Shiga Prefecture. We specialize in brewing with fruit and have a reputation for an exquisite sense of balance that doesn’t let the fruit overpower the beer. Our most popular beer is the “Kouji Ale,” made using malted rice (koji). At the beer terrace attached to the brewery, you can enjoy light snacks such as “beer battered chicken” along with freshly crafted beer.

Many of our products are very popular such as our famous soba boro (buckwheat cookies), soba kanmen noodles, and limited summertime soumen noodles. Please enjoy our soba and udon noodles at the base of Mt. Hiei.

Holiday Afternoon contains both a well-maintained 2,000 square meter natural grass dog park, as well as a popular cafe with handmade bread and sandwiches. In addition to the cafe, you can also enjoy an Omi beef barbecue and a day-trip hot spring with a cloudy sodium bicarbonate bath.
