The black beans that have been procured from farms within the prefecture are used to make roasted beans and candied beans that refine the delicate flavor of our bean based confections. As our products are directly linked to the black bean harvest, you can enjoy high quality beans for a reasonable price.

Our specialty product, Ishizumi bread, uses raisins and walnuts to represent the black and white stones for which Sakamoto masonry is famous for. We would be delighted to provide local deliveries from our store to you.

Traditional dried candies are known across Japan as “rakugan,” but these originate from “Katata Rakugan” here in Otsu. Kinji-do sells such dried candies with an image of the floating pavilion on Lake Biwa, above which flies an elegant flock of geese. This is an image that originates from this area’s own “Katata Rakugan” (“The Wild Geese Returning Home at Katata”), one of the Eight Traditional Scenes of the Omi area.
