Otsu City Science Museum

A planetarium is located on the second floor of the Otsu City Lifelong Learning Center, where visitors can enjoy live explanations and “star stories” (animations) under a beautiful starry sky, as well as three different astronomy-related shows.
There is also an exhibition hall, exhibitions related to Shiga Prefecture and Lake Biwa on the second floor, and interactive basic science exhibits on the third floor. The interactive science show, “Waku Waku Science (Exciting Science),” which concerns the science around us everyday, is a popular event held on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays beginning at 1:10 p.m.
